SQL Server 2010 Preparation

I know this title sounds crazy when SQL Server 2008 is less than a year old, but progress never stops…

Database Journal has an interesting interview with Herain Oberoi, group project manager for the SQL Server Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse product.  While the majority of the detail is a rehash of PASS or BI conference announcements the last couple questions I found interesting.  Herain discusses some of the ways businesses can position themselves to take advantage of SQL Server 2010 once it is ready.

The shortened release cycle that has been introduced with SQL Server 2008 means that more companies need to keep their eye on the next versions to make sure they mitigate the learning curve necessary for migrations.  I’m going to try to do the same with this blog.  I feel it’s important to discuss current topics that will help others but I like a little future discussion too.  Happy reading.  :)
